The truck company, Kenworth, is a subsidiary of PACCAR. It started in 1923 when two mechanics, H.W. Kent and E.K. Worthington, released their first product in Seattle (can you tell how they came up with the company name and got its logo, KW?). In the early 1930s, Kenworth not only began to produce fire trucks, but it also became the first truck manufacturer to use diesel engines.
